Selfbow Workshop

The objective of this course is to teach the ancient craft of self bow building.

This workshop is taught with hands-on instruction and guidance at a beginner level.

Each student will build their own whitewood selfbow from stave to completion.

Detailed instruction of the entire self-bow build include

• wood species and selection

• splitting a log into stave form

• stave drying process

• reducing the stave to rough form

• step by step tillering process 

• string building demonstration 

• incredible feeling of self fulfillment 

• shooting instruction upon completion

• completed selfbow hand-made by YOU!

Course highlights are as follows:

• three 8-hour days of one-on-one instruction, one hour lunch

• workshop hours are 8 to 5 each day with all lunches provided

• snacks, beverages, and peaceful nature views provided

• all tools, materials and detailed guidance provided

• only 6 spaces available to provide hands-on guidance

Reservation terms:

• after selecting your ticket, you will be directed to complete a registration form

• $250 down to secure your spot, select the "place a deposit" ticket

• we will invoice you with a payment plan for the remaining balance due

• or a pay-in-full option is also available, select the "pay in full now" ticket

• private on-site overnight accommodations are available and can be viewed & reserved through the link on the website's Airbnb page

• shared on-site overnight accommodations are also available; $125 per night

• shared overnight reservations can be made after purchasing your workshop ticket, and added to your payment plan

  
  

  • Participants under the age of 18 are permitted but MUST be accommpanied by an adult.

  • If the accompanying guardian is not making a second bow, they do not need to purchase a workshop ticket, but they will need to pay for their overnight accommodations if needed. A fee of $75 will also apply for the additional lunches.

Investment:

• total workshop cost $785 for local participants

• add overnight accommodations for $125 per night

• all taxes, fees and lunches are included
