An immersive sensory experience curated by Plant it Further in collaboration with ~

Learn Your Land, The Lodge at Water’s Edge, The Tavern on the Square, Co-Nectar Flora

Join Plant it Further’s Tamara O’Brien for a purposefully curated, learning-forward, nature-immersive evening celebrating the intricate relationship between natural wild spaces, ecology, local food, and community here in Western Pennsylvania.

Set against the backdrop of the 80-acre Water's Edge estate, this multi-sensory experience invites guests to slow down, immerse themselves in their surroundings, and reconnect through exceptional local cuisine, live music, meaningful conversation, and a deeper appreciation for the vibrant natural systems that sustain us.

Guests will hear from wild food enthusiast and researcher Adam Haritan, founder of Learn Your Land, as he explores the vital connections between forest ecology, stewardship, foraging, and regenerative local food systems. Through his work, Adam helps people understand that when we reconnect with the natural world, we strengthen both our communities and the ecosystems that support them.

The evening will feature a thoughtfully crafted field-to-table dining experience by acclaimed chefs Matt and Maggie Noble of The Tavern on the Square, whose culinary journey—from Napa Valley kitchens and Michelin-starred restaurants to Western Pennsylvania—has been guided by a passion for local food, craftsmanship, and gathering around the table.

Adding another layer to the evening, Cornell Master Beekeeper Christina Joy Neumann of Co-Nectar Flora to Table will share insights into the remarkable world of pollinators, honey, and sensory tasting, highlighting the essential role bees play in healthy landscapes and abundant food systems.

The venue itself is a vital element of the experience, selected not only for its beauty and magic but because host Gwendolyn Reno, the owner of The Lodge at Water's Edge, has a simple but powerful belief: that time spent in nature can restore, inspire, and deepen our connection to one another and the living world around us. Her belief is apparent through her stewardship and restoration of The Lodge at Water’s Edge.

Come savor the flavors of the region, learn from passionate local experts, and experience the beauty of gathering with intention where field, forest, and table meet.
