This retreat is an invitation to step away from the noise of daily life, the constant screens, and pressure to perform, and to return to creativity simply for joy. With several different options for participants to come for the day or stay overnight for the full experience, there's an option for everyone.

We met Aimee when she was first dreaming up this idea, and it was immediately clear this retreat collaboration with Water's Edge was a perfect fit. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and we’re honored to co-host this experience with her. During the retreat, you’ll explore hands-on creative processes like gel plate printing and collage, learn new artistic ideas and techniques, and spend unhurried time making—guided, but never pressured.

The mission of The Whimsy Guild is to provide opportunities to embrace your inner maker, celebrate wonder and make genuine connections with others in a playful environment with no perfectionism needed! And of course this retreat experience extends beyond art-making. Expect cozy moments by the fireplace, nourishing food, thoughtful conversation, laughter, and finding friendships. No prior experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to play. Set within the wooded calm of Water’s Edge, this retreat is designed to feel like a deep exhale. Nature, creativity, and connection come together in a place where you can slow down, unplug, and refill your creative cup.
